Jim OToole

James OToole is a partner and senior designer at OBA Design. Since founding the firm in 2016, James has been instrumental with translating the clients’ vision onto paper. With over 30 years of experience, James brings a diverse skill set to each project.

James graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Architecture. His international studies included an architecture program in Florence, Italy. Upon being awarded The Paul Kossman Senior Design Award in Architecture, James studied and worked in Osaka, Japan under the renowned architect Yasuo Yoshida.

He has a unique background in art, sketching and sculpture. James’ design expertise is further enhanced by his hands-on experience with construction, furniture-making and building artistic machines. A background in international design, accompanied by the formation of his own design firms, has allowed James to bring world-class design to a local scale.

Jim resides on his farm in Springdale with his wife and three children.

Caryn Bevins, RA

Caryn Bevins is a partner and architect at OBA Design. Since founding the firm in 2016, Caryn has lead design documentation and 3D visualization for projects. Caryn’s business acumen compliments her refined design sense.

Caryn graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Architecture. In undergraduate studies, Caryn attended the Sede di Roma architecture study abroad program in Rome, Italy.

Caryn’s previous experience includes work on various large scale planning and development projects in Dubai, UAE. Prior to working internationally, Caryn managed national retail and food service clients with a focus on branded design. Caryn’s diverse experience cements her mission to create lasting architecture that adds value to a community.

Caryn is a Registered Architect in the State of Pennsylvania.

Caryn resides in Mt. Lebanon with her husband and two children.
